Lorna Carlson, affectionately known as "Cookie," is a tenacious property manager and US Army veteran with a remarkable and multifaceted career. 

Her professional career journey began with her service in the US Army, where she cultivated a foundation of discipline and leadership. After her service, she supported her husband's military career while raising their three children. Driven by a passion for making a difference, Cookie earned a Bachelor's degree and transitioned into a career as an elementary school teacher. She dedicated several years to teaching special education students within Aurora Public Schools, exemplifying her commitment to education and the special needs population.

Recognizing her strengths and the lessons learned from her experiences, Cookie took a bold step into the realm of creating Veterans Property Management and her non-profit Veteran Women United.  Passionate about creating supportive environments for veterans, she launched her own company, focusing on providing affordable and accessible housing solutions to both buyers and renters.

Her message emphasizes not only the importance of financial literacy and real estate, but also the healing power of stability and community for those grappling with their own struggles. By weaving together her personal narrative with practical insights into the local housing market and beyond. She also dicusses the impact of trauma, particularly among women, veterans, and first responders.
